One more K.
Every day.
Until one is left.
Day 1 is 1 km. Day 2 is 2. Run it anywhere on Earth, upload before midnight UTC, and come back tomorrow for one more. Miss a day and you’re out. There is no finish line. The last runner standing wins.

The simplest race.
The hardest finish.
There’s no course, no cutoff pace and no finish line. There’s just a number that goes up by one every morning.
On the start day, every runner in the world runs 1 kilometer. The next day, 2 kilometers. The day after that, 3. The distance climbs by exactly one kilometer every day, and it never comes back down.
You can run wherever you are: your neighborhood, a mountain trail, a track, laps around your hotel on a business trip. Record it with GPS, upload it to this site before the daily deadline, and you’re through to tomorrow.
Fall short, even by a few meters, or miss a day, and you’re eliminated. Day by day, the field gets smaller. When only one runner is left, that runner is the champion. The early days are easy. The challenge is to keep showing up when the number gets big.

Run anywhere
Every day, run that day’s distance with any GPS watch or phone app, or with our built-in tracker. Run it all at once or split it into several runs.
Upload by midnight UTC
Sync from Strava or upload a file from Garmin, Coros, Apple Watch, Suunto or Polar before 23:59:59 UTC. Every run is checked automatically. See how, step by step.
Outlast everyone
Come back tomorrow for one more kilometer. There’s no finish day. Keep going until you’re the last runner standing. The top three win prizes.
No finish line.
No ceiling.
Each bar is one day, and the bars never stop. There is no predetermined last day. The race ends only when one runner is left standing. That could be Day 30, Day 60 or Day 100. People do crazy things when they refuse to quit. Where will you draw the line?
| Day | Run that day | Total so far | What it feels like |

The deadline is
23:59:59 UTC.
Every race day starts at 00:00:00 UTC and ends at 23:59:59 UTC, for every runner, everywhere. That keeps it fair and simple to verify.
Not sure what that means where you live? Here it is in your own time zone. During a race, the deadline and a live countdown are always on the Live page and in your dashboard.
Five golden rules.
No exceptions.
Know these five and you know the race. Every runner reads and agrees to the full rules and the waiver at sign-up.
Win it all.
Or win your division.
Just like a real road race, there are winners overall, for men and women, and in every age group. You don’t have to outlast the whole world to bring home a medal. You just have to outlast your division.
Overall
Overall champion
The last runner standing
Overall
Men & women
The top 3 men and the top 3 women.
Every age group
The top 3 men and the top 3 women in each age group: . Your age group is your age on Day 1.
Shirt + medal
Every award winner gets a finisher shirt and medal shipped to them. Shirts and medals are earned, not handed out. Any prizes are announced on the event page.
One award per runner: if you place in the top 3 overall, your men’s/women’s and age-group spot goes to the next runner in line, as at most road races. Every category is ranked the same way as the overall race: days survived, then total distance, then total moving time.
Questions
Do I have to run the whole distance in one go?
No. You can run it in one continuous run or split it into as many runs as you like during the race day. Your runs are added together. Each run must start and finish within the same UTC race day.
Is there a minimum pace?
No. Run, jog, hike or walk. The only time limit is the daily deadline of 23:59:59 UTC.
What devices and apps work?
Any device that records GPS: Garmin, Coros, Suunto, Polar, Wahoo, Apple Watch, Android phones, iPhones. Connect Strava to import runs with one tap, or upload a .gpx, .tcx or .fit file from any app. You can also record runs with our built-in browser tracker.
Can I run on a treadmill?
No. Treadmill runs have no GPS track, so they can’t be verified. Every run must be recorded outdoors with GPS.
My GPS says 9.98 km and the day needed 10 km. Am I out?
Yes. The recorded distance has to reach the full distance due. GPS can read slightly short, so we strongly recommend running 2–3% extra every day.
Is there a last day?
No. There is no predetermined finish day. The distance keeps climbing by 1 km every day until only one runner (or none) is left. Nobody knows how far it will go, and that’s the point.
Can runners under 18 take part?
Yes, with a parent’s or legal guardian’s consent. If you’re under 18 on the start date, your parent or guardian gives their details at sign-up and signs the waiver with you. They’re responsible for supervising your running and stopping you if it becomes unsafe.
I need help with an upload, payment or shipping. Who do I contact?
Use the Help desk page. Contact us early. If you reach out after the cutoff, or too close to it for us to help, a missed run is your own responsibility. The deadline never moves.
How do you catch cheaters?
Every upload is checked automatically: the run’s date must fall inside the current race day, speeds are scanned for vehicle or bike movement, GPS tracks are checked for jumps and computer-generated patterns, and every file is fingerprinted so the same run can’t be uploaded twice or by two people. Suspicious runs go to race officials for review.
What happens if two or three runners are eliminated on the same last day?
The runner with the longest total distance across the whole race places highest. If that’s exactly equal, the fastest total moving time wins. 2nd and 3rd place are decided the same way.
What do I get for my $30 entry?
Your place in the challenge, a bib number, verification of every run, live tracking of your progress, and your result and division place in the event history. Shirts and medals go to award winners only: the top 3 overall, the top 3 men and women, and the top 3 men and women in each age group. Entry fees are non-refundable.
How do age groups work?
Your age group is your age on Day 1 of the event: 14 & under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69 or 70+. Men and women are ranked separately in each age group, using the same order as the overall race. You can win one award, your highest. If you’re in the top 3 overall, your men’s/women’s and age-group places pass to the next runners.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. We never sell, rent or trade your information. We use your address only to ship shirts, medals and prizes if you win an award. Public results show only your first name, last initial and country. Read the privacy policy.
How many days
do you have in you?
